Bulk material feeding system
This feeding system is constructed to feed a bunker with bulk material in an automated way. Thereby, the goods can be pre-packed in a cardboard tray or in a conventional shipping carton (American Case). If it concerns a shipping cardboard, cutting the adhesive tape and opening the top flaps and dust flaps is executed in a fully automated process.
Even re-usable cardboard boxes with plug-in closure can be used.
Depending on the required degree of automation, the boxes can either be manually placed onto a buffer conveyor by an operator or automatically be taken from the pallets by the robot. The recognition of the boxes on the pallets is executed by a simple 3D sensor system.
The empty shipping cartons are transferred to a disposal box in flat-lying condition or stapled on pallets.
The bunker is equipped with sensors to control the filling degree.
The feeding system can be used with nearly all bunker systems available on the market, with new as well as with existing machines.
Therefore, the high weights of shipping cartons and the partly stretched body posture during the magazine loading do not cause high physical stress any longer.
